Earlier this month, the GRBR Enterprise LLP team had the privilege of visiting one of our most meaningful partnerships in the Eastern Himalayas — Potin Organic United, located in the serene town of Potin, Arunachal Pradesh. What made this visit truly special was being personally invited by Mr. Taba Tedir, former Education Minister of Arunachal Pradesh and a passionate advocate for sustainable agriculture in the region.
Nestled amidst the pristine hills and valleys, Potin Organic United stands as a beacon of clean, conscious, and climate-friendly tea cultivation. The farm, which Mr. Tedir has nurtured with vision and commitment, is entirely organic — a rarity even in this naturally blessed terrain. As partners, we’ve been closely involved in guiding the farm’s manufacturing practices, helping fine-tune everything from plucking standards to processing techniques that preserve the unique flavor profiles of Arunachal teas — brisk, floral, and distinctly fresh.
Mr. Tedir’s warmth and hospitality reflected the values that lie at the heart of this project: sustainability, community empowerment, and a deep respect for nature. Over several cups of freshly brewed tea, we discussed future plans for the estate, including small-batch specialty teas, improved traceability systems, and bringing Arunachal’s organic teas to more conscious buyers across the globe.
